Bringing new innovations the housing market is crucial to challenge the current housing crisis in Namibia. Namibia’s housing shortage is estimated to be 110 000 units, with the NHE having a waiting list of 95 000 people.
PolyCare Namibia introduces a transformational technology that changes the way we think producing building material as well as building new homes with high quality standards. The core idea is to enable people to build their own houses. Our building blocks (MAS) also inherit a perfect solution for existing developers as well as for architects that concentrate on the affordable housing market, making the construction process as easy as possible.
Furthermore, the value chain is based on local materials (such as desert sand), but is not based on cement-based building materials. The MAS system does not need any water for the production, which is also a great advantage for Namibia`s semi-desert climate.
PolyCare Namibia was opened in 2019 and provides work for 15 local women and 15 men. The investment is based on the partnerships between PolyCare Germany and the Namibian partners Guinas Investments, Kalahari Holdings, KL Construction and Namibbeton.
We are happy to collaborate with partners that strive for new solutions to deliver dignifying, affordable and sustainable houses for Namibia.
