MAS stands for Modular Assembly System. The blocks are our core product that we produce in our factory in Brakwater and are made of polymer concrete - a material that is four times as strong as conventional cement-based concrete. This allows us to innovate on the geometry of the blocks to get them a smart shape and structure.
The MAS blocks are stacked on ground bars that also incorporate the threads. The upper end of all construction blocks consists of ring beams for a form-fit connection with the last block row.
The threaded rods hold the wall construction in place by screwing from the ground bars to the ring beam. On top of it there is a cover plate, that perfectly seals the construction. Therefore the blocks can be stacked seamlessly and fast - and at the same time the stiffness of the wall is guaranteed.
As the inside of the MAS blocks incorporate an insulation core there is already an insulation included into the wall construction. From here you can immediately start plastering or painting the wall construction.
With a friction-locked bonding for permanent use, all building standards are achievable. Due to the structural-physical properties of our polymer concrete blocks and their low weight the foundations do not require to be deep and heavy.
The horizontal base plates can be fixed to a shallow raft foundation. In practice, however, the nature of the ground will dictate what type of foundation is required.
Special threaded sleeves are cast into the base strip to anchor the connecting blocks. The baseboards are connected to each other by means of steel brackets and screws.
A series of further construction blocks, such as window and door lintels as well as window sills complete the program and thus allow the erection of even complex buildings in the simplest manual work without skilled workers and without heavy construction equipment.
PolyCare has built a two-storey house in which stairs, ceiling and roof are also made of polymer concrete. The building was erected in six days. The technology is ideal for modular or step-by-step construction, as the simple and adaptable wall system components require no mortar or adhesive.
Multi-storey buildings can be realized with the MAS blocks, provided that the appropriate permits are obtained.
Currently we are in the certification process with Agrement. Thus you will soon be able to build multi-storey buildings with our MAS blocks.
